Bart Longson    |    Principal

Bart is a Managing Principal and currently oversees the portfolio for Hawkins Capital.  Bart joined our sister company of Hawkins Homes and Communities, LLC in 2001 as a development partner with a primary focus on residential subdivision development and private real estate lending. Bart currently manages the land acquisition and development division for Hawkins Homes & Communitites, LLC.  Bart is also a founder and managing member of Insight Mortgage.  He is also employed by the Mountain West Conference as a football official.

Prior to joining Hawkins Capital and Hawkins Homes and Communities, Bart created the sub-prime lending division for the Bank of Utah.  His responsibilities included obtaining investor commitments and managing the origination team, which included over 20 loan officers.  Bart also worked with Cornerstone Capital, a Utah-based company that originated loans in excess of $50 million annually.  He underwrote sub-prime deals involving all asset types that included property acquisition, construction loans, development loans, bridge loans, participating debt, mezzanine debt, business loans and other stort-term loans.  In addition, he aided in the workout phase of loans that were late or in default.

Bart received a Business of Science degree in Finance from Brigham Young University.
