Jeffrey Hess, Esq.    |    Principal

Jeff is a Principal with Hawkins Capital.  He is also a managing member and Chief Operating Officer for Hawkins Companies LLC, our corporate company located in Boise, Idaho.  He oversees all development operations from site selection to construction and manages all legal and commercial development. Jeff is an Advisory Board Faculty Member for the Georgetown University Law School Commercial Leasing Institute.  He has taught numerous continuing legal eduction seminars for the Idaho State Bar as well as for the International Council of Shopping Centers.  He has been published in the Idaho State Bar Journal and the Idaho Law Review.

Prior to his employment with HCO, Jeff worked for over 15 years as a licensed general contractor in California and as a construction supervisor for Georgia Pacific Corporation. He has also been a city planning commissioner, lobbyist and advisor to the governor and legislature of California on economic development issues.  Jeff also spent four years in the finance industry as a branch manager. Following graduation, Jeff clerked for Judge Thomas Nelson of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and Justice Cathy Silak of the Idaho Supreme Court.

Jeff graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University with a BS in Political Science and received his JD from the University of Idaho College of Law.
