Matt Hawkins    |    Principal

Matt is a Co-Founder and Principal for Hawkins Capital.  Matt started the sister company of HCO's residential development division, Hawkins Homes & Communities LLC in 2001 and continues to oversee its day-to-day operations. In the past five years he has developed or entitled nearly 1,800 residential building lots and currently has projects operating in over ten communities. Matt has also built a homebuilding business, which has projected revenues in excess of $30 million in 2006. Matt also started Insight Mortgage, which is the in-house lending arm of Hawkins Homes & Communities, LLC and also funds private real estate loans up to $2 million. Insight Mortgage has been in operation for the past four years.

Before developing residential communities, Matt focused on single-tenant, build-to-suit retail developments on the West Coast. He also oversaw the disposition of HCO's company assets. Matt has owned and developed residential and commercial properties for over 10 years.

Matt graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Finance and received an MS in Real Estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
